What are the guidelines for positing a new ad?

  • Keep your messages to 200 words maximum. 
  • Leave your contact information at the bottom of your ad
  • Messages that are pushing your personal opinion on politics, religion, social problems, etc. will not be posted.
  • If you or your group are having a meeting to discuss such things, or having a hymn sing or fund-raiser, then that will be an acceptable event post so people are aware of your gathering.

How can I receive and post ads on Pete’s List?

With the new system, you have to register in order to post on Pete’s List:  Register here

Once you have been approved as a member, fill out this form to post your ad: Create a new ad

Members will receive all new ads (and ONLY new ones) through a daily email.

How do I edit my ad to correct a mistake?

Go to My ad page and select the ad you want to edit.

How long will my ad stay on Pete’s List?

Your ad will only go out once via email but will be posted on Pete’s List website for six month in the Explore ads section. Make sure YOU delete your ad if you want to take it off the website. Go to My ad page and select the ad you want to delete.

Where do I see older ads, for example yesterdays ad or last weeks ad?

Each ad will only go out once via email, then you will be able to find past ads here: Explore ads.

How do I create an ad that will be sent out via email every day for a week?

If you want your ad to be sent via email several days in a row, you will have to re-post it for each day.

Is it possible to upload a photo or poster for an event?

No, we decided to keep Pete’s list as simple as possible for now. Text only.

if you are doing a copy and paste to your new ad and the original text had formatting in it, the ad may not be allowed to go out.   Pete’s List will not accept logos, drawings or large type so you need to copy the original as it is and then when you are ready to paste it to your new ad, you need to right click and press” paste with no formatting” for the ad to go through. The easiest way to send out your ad is to just type it yourself on the “Create New Ad Page” rather than trying to copy a poster or formatted page.

I am not receiving Pete’s email every day, is it normal?

YES, you will ONLY receive an email notification when there are new ads posted on Pete’s List.
